A spectacular air show soars over to Jacksonville

October 4, 2012 by

The Jacksonville Sea and Sky Spectacular is just a couple of weekends away and the main draw for the event will be the United States Navy Blue Angels and other military or civilian flight teams.

This is only one of numerous attractions, however, with live entertainment, a street festival, aircraft simulators, a display of military vehicles and aircraft, a kids’ area, food concessions or local restaurants, recruitment booths, and autograph sessions. With so much choice, there is sure to be something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Everyone will have a good view of the air show, regardless of where they find themselves during the day.

The appearance of the Blue Angles is part of a busy month for the naval air team. They also have two sessions scheduled in California prior to this event and they finish the month with a display at the ‘Wings Over Houston Air Show’ in Texas.

This yearly event alternates between Jacksonville Beaches and the Jacksonville Naval Air Station. It always draws a lot of people from the city and from surrounding communities, also adding a lot of money to the local economy. No doubt Jacksonville printing companies are active in helping the organizers of this event prepare, perhaps through banner printing and flyer printing services.
The Jacksonville show is free to attend and will be held on and over 1st Avenue N. to 6th Avenue North on October 20 – 21 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm each day.
