July 2015 set for opening of Hollywood’s Margaritaville

Developer Lon Tabatchnick recently announced that the new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, with a Jimmy Buffett theme, is on track to open by July 2015.
Most likely, Tabatchnick is turning to a variety of printing services to let both locals and tourists become aware of the project and its many offerings.
The building is located on five acres at the intersection of A1A and Johnson Street on property owned by the city. At a cost of $147m, when completed the building will have 349 guest rooms, 35,000 square feet of convention space, seven bars and restaurants, pools by the ocean, a spa and fitness center, and a FlowRider wave ride. There will also be a garage with 1,056 spaces, of which 600 will be set aside for public parking.
Tabatchnick is leasing the land from the city for the next 99 years. In return, $23m will be contributed by Hollywood’s redevelopment agency towards the project.
Although some of the neighborhood businesses are being affected by the construction, Hollywood chose Tabatchnick’s Margaritaville plan as it has potential to transform the beach.
Saul Dominguez, owner of the Beach Market store right next to the construction site, expects that once the project opens, it will attract more people and increase his business. Gloria Petrone, who owns a condo near the project, estimates that Margaritaville has increased the value of it dramatically and will help to draw more people to Hollywood beach.
