Many events marking Breast Cancer Awareness month are taking place in the Hollywood area this week, and most likely a variety of printing service are being used to make those in area aware of the events so as to support breast cancer awareness in various forms.

Firstly, on Wednesday, October 16, the Weiser Foundation will be holding a fundraising cocktail event with television personality Brooke Burns. The organization is involved in supporting breast cancer research and providing funds for breast reconstruction procedures after surgery. The event will be held at Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach.

Three events will be taking place on Thursday, October 17. The first is a Girls Day Out for a Cure with a luncheon and fashion at the Festival Flea Market Mall in Pompano Beach. Proceeds from the event go to support the Lisa Broccard Breast Cancer Fund.

There will also be two educational and information sessions on Thursday. One will be presented by the Breast Cancer Center of Memorial Cancer Institute at the Broward County Main Library in Fort Lauderdale on ‘Genetics and the Link to Breast Cancer’. The other will be at Gilda’s Club South Florida also in Fort Lauderdale, titled ‘Frankly Speaking about Breast Reconstruction’.

On Friday evening, October 18, at the Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale there will be a Casino Night with proceeds benefitting Gilda’s Club South Florida. There will be gaming tables, both a live and a silent auction, and a variety of culinary items.
