Annual art festival returns to Hialeah
January 17, 2014 by Max
Art on Palm is taking place in Hialeah this February. It is a presentation of the City of Hialeah’s department of Communications and Special Events.
The event is taking place on Palm Avenue between 6th Street and Okeechobee Road. Over 50 artists are expected to be exhibiting and selling items such as ceramics, sculpture, paintings, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and crafts. In addition, there will be a classic car show, a bicycle display, and food trucks.
Also, local non-profit organizations will have booths set up to provide information about their programs and services to members of the public. The idea is that the event may help to get some of the artists established in the community with the possibility of future working relationships. Even those who do not buy anything will be able to enjoy a free art show.
Booths are available for $50 each and the deadline to apply is February 7. It is up to the vendors to decorate their booths the way they wish. It is more than likely that some of them will choose to invest in services such as sign and banner printing from Hialeah print companies. A colorful banner can go a long way in getting attention with the possibility of increasing sales, and also helps add to the overall festive look of the event.
Art on Palm is taking place on February 22 from 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more, or to apply, call 305-889-5701.
