Fort Lauderdale to give people Goosebumps

The Museum of Discovery and Science and Autonation Imax will host the 2014 ‘Goosebumps! An Overnight Family Adventure’ in Fort Lauderdale in next month.

The event is not for the fearful as it involves a Fearless Family Overnight adventure. Participants will bring their sleeping bags along with flashlights to sleep in the museum’s newest exhibit. ‘Goosebumps: The Science of Fear!’ is brand new and contains all kinds of fun and educational activities and displays.

Some of the popular ‘Special Shake and Quake’ activities include the Fear Factor Munchies. In this section, brave children and adults can taste some rather unusual snacks, such as worms and crunchy bugs. Attendees can also find out what eyeballs feel like, and the museum team promises it will be gross and gooey. An easy obstacle course is part of the fun and throws in an extra twist – participants are blindfolded.

Learning how animals cope and live in extreme temperatures will be another offering, as guests can put on the Blubber Glove and feel the heat. The museum houses some creepy residents, including bugs, alligators, and snakes. As well as all this, guests will put on their pajamas and convene in the IMAX3D Theatre to enjoy a special feature – ‘Journey to the South Pacific 3D’.

Flyer printing is an effective method used to communicate events such as this one. Flyers can be distributed in advance of the event from many distribution points, or direct mailed to targeted databases.

The adventure will take place from January 31 to February 1, 2014. For more information, contact 954-713-0930.
