Expo to shed light on cyber-crime

The Loss Prevention Conference and Expo will take place this summer in Fort Lauderdale. Timely and trending educational content will be presented to the audience of law enforcement professionals and retailers. These attendees are responsible for stopping crime and protecting company assets.

The theme this year will be based on the Five Pillars of Asset Protection and will provide strategies and tactics, along with a detailed overview of focus in retail loss prevention areas. The Five Pillars of Asset Protection include people, protection, technology, compliance, and shrinkage.

Guest speaker Brian Krebs will share his experience and insights into high-profile cyber-attacks that have affected major retailers. He will point out the operational data often made unknowingly available in unsecured sites.

Often, the event organizers will work with local print companies to order materials needed to manage properly. Banner printing is an important step in preparing for a large event. The banners can be hung throughout the venue to guide traffic and direct attention to specific areas. As they are printed on heavy vinyl, they can be utilized indoors or outside.

A certificate of attendance will be issued to attendees at the 2014 Loss Prevention Conference and Expo upon participating in scheduled educational sessions.

The conference will take place June 11-13 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. Details and registration are available on the conference website.
