MAU students flock to new location

Doors were opened and classes began in earnest at Millenia Atlantic University’s new 11,000-square foot state-of-the-art facility on 97th Street in Doral this September.
At the grand opening gala event last month, MAU president, Aristides Maza-Duerto, said that staff and faculty were proud that the university continues to grow and provide one of the most impressive education facilities in Miami-Dade County. The renovated building includes 12 classrooms, each equipped with Smartboard technology, free wireless internet access throughout the building, and, on the outdoor terrace, a more spacious library and a new student lounge.
The building was designed to achieve LEED certification for ‘green energy efficient’ buildings, including motion-sensitive lighting, proprietary in-office cooling units, and water conserving bathrooms. Charging stations for electronic devices, such as cell phones, laptops, and Ipads, are strategically located throughout the facility.
The change of address indicates that new stationery printing and digital business cards were probably necessary to advertise the new location. Other promotional tools, such as flyer printing and poster printing, could also advertise the new location, expansion in the university’s programs, new technology and research facilities.
MAU offers programs in business management, administrative management, human resources, paralegal, health information, and more. The university awards associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees for students passing all requirements at the university. Classrooms have an average of a 12:1 student to faculty ratio. Programs are also available online and financial aid under the Title IV funding program is available for students who qualify.
