Local company sponsoring cloud technology workshop

On December 8th 2011, Doral’s very own Nerds Support will be hosting a workshop on the value of cloud technology to local businesses. Cloud-based technology has been rising in popularity in recent years, but for many people it’s still a concept that doesn’t have a lot of practical applications. Taking place within the Doral Chamber, this discussion is open to all company decision-makers who are interested in learning more about how cloud applications can help businesses in all industries.

Nerds Support describes some of cloud technology’s benefits as follows:

“…Your employee’s application are available with all emails, files, and applications via a remote server rather than individual PCs giving better performance then what they currently have. This allows your employees to log into the same fast and familiar environment from any internet-enabled device, anywhere, anytime…”

Though outsourcing things like poster printing and banner printing has been shown to save money, cloud applications make internal productivity more affordable as well.

According to the schedule listed on the Chamber website, this event begins at 9:00 a.m. and is supposed to give attendees roughly half an hour to register and get to know one another while the workshop portion will be taking place from 9:30 a.m. until noon. The site also says that breakfast will be served earlier at 8:00 a.m. so there will be additional opportunity for fellowship there. Since this meeting is targeted primarily at business owners and executives, those planning to be present will want to come with their business card printing ready.
