Doral breaks ground for new hotel

March 18, 2014 by

March was a time for new developments in the hotel industry in Doral.

On the afternoon on March 11, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Element Miami Doral hotel. Executives from the hotel company, as well as the mayor of Doral and other city officials, attended the ceremony.

The hotel is scheduled to open its doors to guests in 2015. Once open, it will be part of a two-hotel development. Aloft Miami Doral, which opened last year, is the first hotel in the development.

Eurocon, LLC, which owns the hotel, can advertise its construction by using banner printing. A large banner displayed at the site would give potential guests an idea of the hotel’s progress and anticipated opening date.

The hotel can also boast of its eco-friendly certifications on the banner. Element Miami Doral will meet the requirements for the Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program. Every hotel in the Element chain needs to qualify for LEED certification.

Once complete, the hotel will have 139 rooms, including studios and one-bedroom suites. Amenities at the hotel will include flat screen televisions, desks, and a full kitchen in each room. The bathrooms will offer a mix of spa-quality elements and environmentally conscious features, such as dual flush toilets.

Outside of the rooms, the hotel will feature an outdoor swimming pool with saline water, a bike rental program, and a large conference room.
