54th annual NASCAR season to start mid-February

Saturday, February 18th is the start of the 2012 NASCAR season at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida with the opportunity for fans to see stars of NASCAR’s top three series and the ARCA Racing Series. The Speedway and NASCAR are using printing services to print flyers and posters about the season to attract visitors and fans to the annual event.

There are two events on the first day of on-track competition: the points race in the ARCA series and the Budweiser Shootout which is a special event that is non-points for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Ticket prices range from $49 for general admission seating in the grandstand and the infield to $99 for reserved seating in the Sprint Tower.

On Sunday, February 19th, the Daytona 500 pole qualifying event will be held that will lock in the front row and the fields for the two Gatorade Duel races will be set. The ticket price is $20 for all seats in the infield, general admission seating in the grand stand and in the Sprint Tower. The duel races are scheduled to take place on Thursday February 23rd with ticket prices for these two events to range from $60 for general admission to $120 for reserved seats in the Sprint Tower.

The night of Friday February 24th marks the start of NASCAR points racing with the Camping World Truck Series Next Era Energy Resources 250. On Saturday, February 24th, the Nationwide Series DRIVE 4COPD will be held and on Sunday, February 25th there will be the 54th running of the Daytona 500.
