Spring Festival will celebrate the community in Davie

March 22, 2013 by

The Town of Davie is holding a Spring Festival, Egg Hunt, and International Multi-ethnic Festival next weekend.

There will be plenty of family friendly activities in which to take part at the festival. The Egg Hunt will be for children aged anywhere up to eight, and every child who participates will get free candy. Other children’s activities will include a giant slide, animal farm, sand art showings, a climbing wall, and inflatables. Guests can also get their pictures taken with Peter Cottontail for a small price.

There will also be cultural displays, international entertainment, vendors, and information booths. Local multi-cultural dance and musical groups will no doubt be entertaining the crowd. There will be something to appeal to everyone in the family, and it will be a great opportunity for visitors to learn more about the various cultural groups who make Davie their home.

Vendor and information booths are free and must fit into various categories, such as School diversity, Cultural Arts and Crafts, Religious Organizations, Cultural Booth, and Cultural food booths.

No doubt the vendors will be working with Davie printing companies to prepare for the festival. Items such as flyers and brochures will help information booths provide reading material for those who stop by their booth to learn more about the organization.

The Spring Festival will take place at Robbins Lodge on March 30 from 10:00 am. For more information on this free-to-attend event, call 954-797-1000 or visit the town’s website.
