Rodeo Championship gallops in
September 5, 2012 by Sarah
The world-famous Davie Pro Rodeo is once again hosting the annual Championship Bull Riding event at the Davie Pro Rodeo Arena. Anyone who likes to watch the pros tame an angry bull will love the action-filled, thrilling event.
Many residents and tourists flock to Davie every year for some of the best western entertainment in Florida, courtesy of the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association). For the last 24 years, the Davie Pro Rodeo has been an important stop on the pro rodeo circuit where you can see rodeo stars such as ‘Shotgun’ Rodney Gaston work his way around the ring. Rodeos have been hosted here as far back as the 1920s, making it the oldest in Florida, when the area was known as the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.
Posters and photographs of rodeo stars are abundant on the website and at the grounds. Poster printing is still one of the most visual and compelling promotional tools that the rodeo uses to advertise events and opportunities. Other attractive posters for the rodeo in “Cowboy Town” can be seen on the rodeo’s Facebook page.
Taking place this Saturday, September 8, tickets can be purchased online from the Davie Pro Rodeo store by PayPal or credit card. Adult tickets are $18.00 in advance or $20.00 at the gate, children can gain admission for $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the gate, and infants two years old and under are free. Cash will be the only means of payment accepted at the gate, with an ATM available.
