March 3, 2017 by

Coral Springs will be holding its annual Our Town America in a few days. The three-day event will offer live entertainment, amusement rides, and a car show. More than 100,000 guests are expected.

Some bands on the stage’s agenda will be The Front Street Band, The Mason Pace Band, and the Leave It Behind Band. Soloists will be Cassie Ortiz and Alyssa Marie Coon. Some of the dance productions will be represented by Coral Springs Academy of Dance, the Dance Theater of Parkland, and DANL Dance Center. The ABC Circus will be performing the last afternoon.

Amusement rides will range from the traditional Giant Gondola Wheel to the more daring Kamikaze and Gravitron. Little ones will enjoy Dino the Dinosaur, the Merry-go-round and the Dizzy Dragon.

Local nonprofit organizations and community service organizations will be manning food booths. Arts and craft vendors will be displaying and selling their creations. Coral Springs merchants will have spaces to show their products and distribute flyers and brochures.

The last day of the festival will feature the Our Town American Classic Car Show. Corvettes, street rods, antique cars, and classic trucks will be vying for the 30 Dash Plaque awards.

The event will start next Friday, March 10, running from 5:00 pm until 11:00. It will proceed on the Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Sportsplex, 2575 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs.
