Mother’s Day is coming soon, and many residents will be taking their moms, daughters, aunts, or other special ladies to the City of Coral Springs Annual CommuniTea.

The Coral Springs Multi-Cultural Committee will be hosting the event that will have a multicultural theme. An assortment of international teas, light hors d’oeuvres, and desserts will be served.

Guests are asked to bring their own special teacups and favorite stories. Those who share their stories will receive a gift. Guests are encouraged to come in ethnic attire.

Tables that will seat 10 may be reserved for $200 and decorated by the guests. The tables will be judged for creativity, multicultural theme, and uniqueness.

Comedian Tony Albane and Venezuela Danza y Tambor will be the entertainment, and there will be interactive games.

Individual tickets may be purchased for $25 each. No tickets will be sold at the door, so those interested must either send the money, check or debit/credit card info to the City of Coral Springs and specify that it is for the Tea. They may also get tickets at the City Hall in the Mall and at City Hall.

The CommuniTea will be held May 13 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at the Coral Springs Museum of Art at 2855 Coral Springs Drive here in Coral Springs. Pictures taken during this event will make ideal additions to the museum’s brochures.
