Best Halfway House expands to Coral Gables

The Best Halfway House network is now offering residents of Coral Gables, Florida an opportunity to continue to work on their recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, as it has expanded its services into the area.

Best Halfway House selects only the most suitable houses for men and women who are working towards long-term recovery. The houses are located close by public transportation and are within easy reach of local meeting points for the 12-step program.

Before a house is considered, it must be well maintained and clean. The houses have measures put in place which make a person in recovery accountable and have a clear structure. Although cleanliness is the most important factor, some of the houses have pools and other amenities for residents to enjoy. Best Halfway House provides an environment which is drug and alcohol free to ensure the best chances of long term recovery. The organization also assists with finding work in the area and even returning to education to complete studies. Local print companies may also be involved with providing posters and flyers with information of the organization and what it seeks to achieve.

Once a patient has moved on from a residential treatment center, the group can arrange for them to receive Intensive Outpatient Treatment to continue therapy. House managers reside in all South Florida houses in the program to help the residents keep to a sober lifestyle and help out any new residents who may have difficulty.
