Walk set up to help breast cancer patients

The ‘Pink Heels the Soul’ walk is being held in Brandon in just over a week, acting as a fundraising event for Lisa’s Pink Petals of Hope Inc., which hopes to raise at least $5,000 this year.

The event is being hosted by the New You Pink Boutique and the walks will begin from there. Walkers have a choice of the TaTa Strut, which is a short fun walk, or the Bravo walk, which is a 5K. Those who register in advance will receive breakfast, refreshments, and a chance to take part in raffles, pick up some freebies, and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day.

Lisa’s Pink Petals of Hope Inc. provides the funds necessary for low income breast cancer patients to purchase pre- and post-surgical garments, breast prostheses, and mastectomy bras.

This event will likely get much attention in the Brandon area and organizers may choose to purchase marketing products like flyers and posters from local print companies to help spread the word.

Pink Heels the Soul will take place on April 5 beginning at 8:00 am. Registration fees are $35. Walkers can also purchase a pink ribbon for $5 to remember someone they know who has been affected by breast cancer.
