Learn how to promote your business quickly

The next session in the monthly Competitive Edge Series of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce will take place on July 31 from 11:45 am – 1:30 pm, the topic of which will be “Selling your benefits in 30 seconds.” Tickets are $35 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members.

The seminar will be led by Debbie Lundberg, who is a life and business coach. Those who attend will learn how to promote their business in as little as 30 seconds. Often, there is very little time to talk to each person at a networking event, so it is suggested that everyone develops an “elevator pitch.” Ms. Lundberg will help attendees to highlight two to four strengths of their business, how to quickly connect with those they meet at networking events, and, before they leave, they will have created an “elevator pitch” to use at their next event.

Lunch will also be provided and attendees will get the chance to try out some of their newly learned skills with each other. As with all networking event it is important that those who attend from Tampa and nearby communities such as Brandon bring a business card. Printing extras will ensure they have enough to hand out to everyone they meet, so they may want to speak to a print company beforehand. More important that having business cards and an “elevator pitch” is following up as soon as possible. Business leaders get hundreds of cards a year and they are not going to hold onto a card if they do not hear back from the person who gave it to them.
