Barbecue to raise money for local charities

Pig-A-Palooza is taking place in Brandon next month, hosted by the Rotary Club of Valrico, and will raise funds to help several worthwhile local charities.
The event will feature lots of barbecued food and sides, drinks including beer and prize draws. There is also set to be a children’s zone, which will include a bouncy house and lots of fun games to play. This will be a supervised area, so the adults are able to leave the little ones there while they enjoy the barbecue, beer, and entertainment.
The Rotary Club of Valrico will be using funds raised here to support a number of local charities, including the Bill Carey Boys and Girls Club and Life Care of Brandon.
Sponsorships are also available from $300 to $1,000. All sponsors will be recognized at the event with a walkway sign. Brandon printing companies are often asked to provide products like posters, signs, and banners for such events; either for advertising or to thank those who have made it possible.
Pig-A-Palooza will be held at Rotary Camp Florida on March 8 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and include one child, with a fee $10 payable for each additional child. Military members and first responders only pay $15. To find out more about the event, call 813-982-3726.
