Florida neighborhoods conference to be held in Manatee
June 18, 2013 by Mark
Officials from Manatee County recently announced that they will be hosting the 17th annual Florida Neighborhoods Conference at the Bradenton Area Convention Center from July 11 through the July 13.
No doubt they will be using flyer printing and poster printing to make those interested in the conference aware of the event and location as it is the first year that Manatee County will be home to the statewide event.
The conference focuses on the neighborhoods of Florida and enables residents to network, learn, and share with each other and visit communities from a state with a great deal of diversity. Many local tours, including ones of parts of Bradenton and historic downtown Plametto, and about 40 workshops are planned so far for the conference.
According to county director of neighborhood services, Cheri Coryea, about 120 registrations have been made for the conference and the deadline has been extended to June 24 as the convention center has been newly renovated and can accommodate many more than that.
Coryea added that the conference provides a workshop setting in which there is the opportunity to share ideas with experts in many fields from all over the state and get a little flavor of down home as well. She hopes that participants will be able to meet and learn from their neighbors, tour the County of Manatee and learn how to show their love and devotion to their own communities by being involved, active, and making a difference.
