Men with Caring Hearts luncheon honors male volunteers

April 12, 2013 by

The 2013 Men with Caring Hearts luncheon will take place in late April in Boca Raton.

The luncheon will recognize those male volunteers who work for various local charitable organizations and who have gone out of their way to help make life better for others.

There are four categories of awards to be handed out at the luncheon: Biggest Heart (for which this year’s recipient is Robert “Bobby” Campbell), Lifetime Achievement (which will be given to Harvey Sandler), Outstanding Volunteer of the Year, and Youth in Philanthropy Award for those between the ages of 16 and 21.

Most charitable organizations could not operate without the help of volunteers and it is only right they get this kind of recognition, especially since many of the winners’ friends and families will no doubt be there to celebrate.

All proceeds from the event go to support the Florence Fuller Child Development Center (FFCDC), which provides a variety of services to families in the area including childcare, early education, and a Head Start pre-school.

Organizers of the luncheon will very likely be working with Boca Raton printing companies to prepare. There will be a need for advertising to get people to attend, tickets will have to be printed, and signs or banners may be needed to recognize sponsors of the event.

The 12th Men with Caring Hearts Luncheon will take place at the Boca West Country Club on April 26 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Tickets are $100 each. Those who wish to have more information can call Jennifer Berman at 561-391-7274 x128.
