January 13, 2014 by James
The 19th annual Fotofusion exhibition is taking place for five days this January in Palm Beach. It is presented by the Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC).
The event is set to feature digital and multimedia exhibits, seminars, photoshoots, computer labs, workshops, awards presentations and several social events.
An opening reception will take place at the PBPC Museum. The next night, the Fotofusion Awards dinner will be honoring this year’s winner David Rubinger; a separate reception will also be held for the winner on the next night. The exhibition will end with the “farewell mash.”
One of the main parts of this annual event is the numerous workshops and seminars that will be available to photographers. Workshop topics include “Portraits of Flowers with Vincent Versace”, “Portrait Retouching for the Artistically Challenged with Lee Varis” and “Nature in Black & White with George Schaub.”
This event will likely attract photographers from all over the region including nearby Boca Raton. To help advertise such happenings, local printing companies are often asked to provide marketing materials such as flyers and brochures to help spread the word.
Fotofusion is taking place at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre from January 14 – 18. The opening reception is free to passport holders or $45 for general admission. A gold passport is $825 for members or $895 for non-members, a silver passport is $575 for members or $645 for non. Tickets to the awards dinner which will take place on January 15 from 5:30 – 9:30 PM are $75 for passport holders or $150 for general admission.
