Enjoy a drink for a good cause
July 8, 2012 by James
The second annual Cocktails for a Cause will take place at the Blue Martini on August 9 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, with proceeds going towards the Jewish Association for Residential Care (JARC).
The ticket price to the event includes two drink tickets, access to the VIP area, appetizers, and raffles. A special $12 martini, covering two drink tickets, will be served. Happy hour prices will be in effect until 8:00 pm.
In all likelihood, Boca Raton companies will be donating raffle items to help raise money for the JARC. Organizers will probably be depending on local printing companies to provide the drink tickets needed and to help with promoting this event. For example, flyers are a very inexpensive yet effective form of advertising and are very versatile in how they can be spread throughout the community. They can be handed out on the street, sent through the postal system, or posted in various public areas of the city.
The JARC is a residential facility for people over 18 who have mild or moderate developmental disabilities. The facility offers support and training so that they adults can learn to live independently. Training programs include processing outgoing mail, culinary training, training in maintenance skills, computer assisted learning, and gardening.
It would be hard to find a better way to raise money for such a worthwhile organization than to have a fun night out with friends or family at this event.
