Dreams about to come true in Boca Raton
November 22, 2012 by Sarah
There are many children suffering in the Boca Raton area. It could be due to poverty or it could be due to abuse. Thankfully, there are organizations that are dedicated to helping those children live happier and more fulfilling lives. The Florence Fuller Child Development Center (FFCDC) is one such organization that strives to help. The organization provides programs for children from six weeks up to 12-years-old and one of those programs is day-care services. The FFCDC also provides early education, support for families, and a Head Start preschool. One of the ways the center raises fund is through a yearly gala ball.
This year’s Wee Dream Ball has a theme of ‘The Future Belongs to Those Who Dream’. It will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a game where participants can win prizes. The goal this year is to raise $400,000.
Boca Raton businesses will no doubt be donating items to both the live and silent auctions. They might want to work with local printing companies to help get the word out about the event to the community. One thing they could do in preparation for events like this is to design and create a flyer that can be mailed out to their current mailing list. This flyer could give detailed background on the FFCDC and how the person receiving it can help this worthy organization.
The Wee Dream Ball will take place at the Woodfield Country Club on November 30 from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $250 amd tables of 10 are available for $2,500. For more information, call 561-391-7274.
