Charities to reap Boca Raton benefits

August 14, 2013 by

Two events this August will help raise funds a pair of very worthwhile charities – the International Society for Autism and Women in Distress. Both events are part of Boca Chamber Festival Days.

Firstly, the Rock and Roll Motor Show will be a fundraiser for the International Society of Autism. The organization provides job placement for those suffering from autism, as well as research into the causes of the condition. The event will feature vintage cars and motorcycles, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. Music will be provided by Stereotomy.

The show will take place at Lakeside Terrace Place on August 29 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Tickets are $25. For more information, call 561-395-4433.

On the same day, the 4th annual Clothes off our Back for Women in Distress takes place. The clothing drive is collecting gently-used or new clothes for women, men, and children. It will also accept cell phones, chargers, iPads, and iPods. Guest will also be able to enjoy a buffet and be entered into a draw for a vacation package at Deerfield Beach.

It will occur at Oceans 234 on August 29 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 per person. More information can be found out about this event by calling 954-428-2539.

Both of these events will likely be widely advertised in Boca Raton. With that in mind, no doubt local printing companies have been called upon to provide marketing products, such as brochures and posters.
