Breast cancer awareness lunch urges to think pink

September 16, 2012 by

The 9th annual Go Pink luncheon will take place next month at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, with this year’s being held in honor of Giuliana and Bill Rancic, who will tell their story of Giuliana’s battle with breast cancer.

Sponsorships are available for the luncheon, ranging in price from $3,500 to $100,000. All sponsors will receive recognition in the luncheon program booklet. Boca Raton printing companies will probably be providing the organizers of the luncheon with the program booklet. It will no doubt be a valued keepsake for those who attended the luncheon and will give those who have helped the recognition that they deserve.

The luncheon is part of the Go Pink Challenge of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. It holds several fundraising events during the year to raise money for the Center for Breast Care. In fact, in the past four years, the hospital has raised over $2m.

Other events to be held in Boca Raton in October include ‘Lily Pulitzer goes Pink’, in which a portion of all sales on October 14 benefits the Go Pink Challenge and the “Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure” in which they will be selling Key to the Cure t-shirts from October 21 – 23 and 100% of all proceeds will go to the challenge.

October 26 is the date to note in the diary, and the event runs from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Tickets are $150 and proceeds go to support the Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health and Wellness Institute, Center for Breast Care. For more information, please call 561-955-4142.
