Montgomery’s 40th artists’ exhibit ready for weekend opening
April 23, 2013 by Mark
This weekend, a jury member will pick out a selection of somewhere between 60 and 80 artworks among roughly 350 entries created by close to 100 artists.
These ‘objets d’art’, which vary greatly in genre and theme, are put together by a number of the finest artists in contemporary and avant-garde painting, sculpture, and sketching in Montgomery and surrounding areas. Once the entries have been whittled down to the very best, organizers might want to consider using catalog printing to make sure that plenty of people see the quality of the work firsthand.
The 40th Montgomery Art Guild Exhibition is organized by Montgomery’s Museum of Fine Arts and its Art Guild, while the presentation is sponsored by the BB&T Bank. It takes place at Montgomery’s Museum of Fine Arts.
The alliance between Montgomery’s most gifted and inspired artists and Alabama’s long-standing art museum is an equally beneficial association that has endured for nearly 50 years. The museum is now carrying on this tradition to afford the public an opportunity to view an art exhibit of superior quality.
The mission of the Montgomery’s Fine Art Museum is to amass, sustain, display, and elucidate artistic endeavors of the highest caliber for the enhancement, illumination, and delight of the public. It is free to attend.
The event will take place on April 27, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, at the Museum Of Fine Arts, which is located at 1 Museum Drive in Montgomery. For more information, please call (334) 240-4333, or visit the museum’s website where more information is available for viewing and downloading.
