The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art (JCSM), adjacent to Auburn University, is offering its members a special deal next week.

During the week of March 18, members will receive a discount of 10% off their annual dues during the membership drive. Exhibitions on display include ‘The Painter’s Subjects’, ‘Preserving Tradition’, and ‘Bauhaus twenty-21: An Ongoing Legacy’. Gallery hours will be extended until 8:00 pm.

The museum is a stunning example of Alabama’s foremost galleries of art. It houses approximately 2,000 pieces ranging from the traditional to the modern. The undisputed axis of visual arts within the community, over 300,000 patrons have visited since the museum opened.

The objective of JCSM is to engage the students, members, visitors, and staff of Auburn University in a distinctive, inspired experience. It boasts seven remarkable art galleries, lush botanical gardens, a state-of-the-art auditorium, a quaint café, and a gift shop.

The Jules Collins Museum of Fine Art frequently rotates its 1,500 pieces to facilitate a variation of imagery for its patrons and visitors. The permanent collection comprises an extensive range that includes sketches, sculpture, portraits, prints, and photographs dating from the 14th century to the present day.

The aforementioned events are open to the public and admission is free, although registering in advance is strongly recommended. Tickets may be purchased from the JCSM website, where details can also be found of three upcoming programs at the museum. Catalog printing could be another good way to spread the news about these.
