Hancock Bank to establish corporate center in Montgomery
November 18, 2013 by Sarah
Hancock Bank recently announced that it will be opening a new location for its corporate center in Montgomery, which will require the hiring of 200 people. No doubt business card printing will be used once all of these new employees are hired.
Of those 200 jobs, 100 of them will be new to the company. Recruitment for positions in depositing and loan operations has already been started and all of the positions are expected to be filled within the next 12 months.
The new corporate center will be located at the Capital Commerce Center of Montgomery. It will be 40,000 square feet in size and occupy two full floors. A variety of operations will be housed there including call center, corporate support professionals, and commercial banking.
According to the chief information officer and technology executive who oversees many of the operating divisions of the bank, Ron Millet, finding the right location for the new corporate center took two years. Montgomery was finally chosen as the city is safe, central to the five states which it serves, and has a good educational system. He added that $500,000 was spent in building the center. When all the employees are hired, the annual payroll will be estimated at $3.5m to $4m.
The chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, Horace H. Horn Jr., said that it was “an honor” for the company, which has been running for over a century, to have chosen Montgomery as a location.
