Chicken Salad Chick’s second restaurant to wing into Montgomery
October 28, 2013 by James
Chicken Salad Chick recently announced that it will be opening a second restaurant in Montgomery in the eastern part of the city. No doubt the restaurant is using poster printing to make people aware of this new location in addition to the one it has in midtown.
The new restaurant will be close to the Winn-Dixie in Sturbridge Village. According to Justin Boyd, the owner, the location evolved after many requests from the restaurant’s current customers. The store has a planned opening of March 2014 and will include a service for drive-through.
The first Chicken Salad Chick in the area was opened by owners Stacy and Kevin Brown on Zelda Road in the Capital City area and was so successful that it reportedly went through a shortage of chicken salad during its first few days in business.
There are 25 people employed at the location in downtown Montgomery, and the restaurant there sells 15 varieties of chicken salad that include many eclectic choices, as well as home-made soups, sides, deli sandwiches, and cookies. The salads, sandwiches, and sides offered at the eaterie are also available for take-out and catering.
The Zelda Road restaurant is open seven days a week, and the second one planned will also be open across the same hours. Boyd, the owner of the new restaurant, has further ambitions beyond this however, as he is planning to open a third location by 2015 in Prattville, spreading the chicken eating even further.
