Free coupons and gift cards will be part of the grand opening of Madison’s new Kroger store.

The new Kroger store, located at 4579 Wall Triana Highway in Midtown Marketplace, began construction in 2015 and will replace the Hughes Road location. The Hughes Road store will close its doors on Sept. 6 at 6 pm, and the Wall Triana store will open on Sept. 7.

Huntsville residents may wish to line up at 7 am on the day of the grand opening. Coupons for free breakfast items will be presented to the first 300 customers, and drawings will be held every three hours starting at 9 am and ending at 6 pm. To win customers must be present at the time of the drawing.

The new Madison store enjoys a unique feature to Kroger stores in the Huntsville/Madison area. It will offer the option of an online ordering service named Clicklist. The service, which will become available Sept. 14 allows shoppers to choose items online to be pickup later. There will be no charge for the customer’s first three Clicklist orders, which normally cost 4.95 each.

A new Huntington Kroger began construction in July and residents here will likely see flyers announcing the date and what special features will be included in that store’s grand opening. The two stores are part of the company’s $250 million plus, 2 year investment in the region.
