Calhoun Chamber of Commerce looks to have a busy January

January 4, 2012 by

It looks like leadership’s the theme that the Calhoun Chamber of Commerce will be emphasizing at the start of 2012.

Beginning with a meeting for Youth Leadership Calhoun County on January 12, 2012, the Chamber will be encouraging the young people of Calhoun County to develop the practical skills they will need in order to make an impact within their communities. Starting at 8:00 a.m. and scheduled to go through 3:00 p.m., local business owners have an excellent opportunity to get involved with the people of Calhoun County.

On the 17th, Calhoun Chamber of Commerce members are invited to attend a Business After Hours meeting. Starting in the evening at 5:30 p.m., professionals and entrepreneurs from Anniston and the surrounding area will be able to network in a relaxing environment at Garfrenck’s Café. Those planning to attend this month’s Business After Hours event are going to need a reliable supply of business card printing along with the ability to interact with other professionals.

Finally, the Chamber will also be hosting Leadership Calhoun County on January 19th. The event looks to continue for most of the day as the website lists a time slot of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Designed to operate somewhat similarly to Youth Leadership Calhoun County, Leadership is a program that emphasizes the importance of planting resources and life skills within the community. All in all, it looks to be a worthy cause for Anniston-based businesses that want to get involved.

Between the networking and the services being offered to the community, the Calhoun Chamber has a well-rounded January up ahead.
