City of Alabaster Christmas Parade preparations well underway
November 8, 2011 by Mark
With the holiday season just around the corner, the City of Alabaster has recently reminded everyone that preparations for the annual Christmas Parade are well underway.
While the festivities of last week’s Fall Fest are undoubtedly still fresh in people’s minds, the city has made its official entry forms available online and encouraged all members of the public to participate in this December 3rd event. Set to take place at Colonial Promenade, the parade’s theme this year is going to be “Neighbors Rebuilding the Christmas Spirit”. The event already looks to be one of laughter and community with a bit of friendly competition thrown in for good measure.
For local businesses, this is a wonderful opportunity to interact with the people of Alabaster. Whether entering as a participant or sponsoring float decorations, companies can contribute to this year’s parade and perhaps receive a little recognition in the process. Though the forms do allow participants to have other names announced by the MC, a far more reliable approach is to incorporate banner printing into the decorating of the float. This makes sure that everyone gets a chance to see what the sign says – even if it is just wishing everyone a happy holiday, it’s all good publicity.
The 2011 Christmas Parade is an excellent opportunity for businesses to get out there and become an active part of Alabaster. All it takes is some good old-fashioned creativity. With participants meeting November 21st however, it’s important to register as soon as possible.
