Weekend event offers girl time in Elmont

Linda Morris-Jackson will be hosting ‘Mrs. Jax Shop and Sip’, the first official Girls’ Day Soiree in Elmont, this weekend.

Guests will be treated to a variety of vendors selling items like clothing, accessories, jewelry, and shoes. Makeup vendors like Avon will be on hand, as will wellness, spa, and massage experts. There will also be food, live music, and a cash bar to provide further entertainment for people as they go shopping.

The featured vendor for the event is Cinderella, the owner of ‘When We Were Queens’. Her booth will provide skincare products and makeup. Guests will also be able to have their eyebrows done professionally by Cinderella herself. Other notable vendors from the area are Gold Canyon Candles, Jamberry Nails, and Scentsy.

Morris-Jackson is a consultant who works with companies like Gold Canyon Candles and Ardyss to promote their products. She is the driving force behind organizing this event.

Organizers for this event are likely to contact flyer printing companies to help them promote it. Flyers, postcards, and posters are effective ways to get the word out about an event, and advertising done in nearby areas like Garden City, Valley Stream, or Manhasset could draw in even great crowds, which would be helpful for the vendors participating in the event. Vendors themselves could take similar steps in order to promote themselves on the day.

The event runs from noon until 4:00 pm this Saturday, August 10, and is free to attend.
