Fundraiser celebrates Mardi Gras

February 27, 2014 by

Mardi Gras at the Center is taking place this March in Ashland. It is a fundraising event for the Hanover Arts and Activities Center.

Those who attend the event will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live music to dance to all night. There will also be a prize awarded for best mask. It should be a great opportunity for those interested in the arts in the city to network with one another while having fun and supporting the Center.

The Hanover Arts and Activities Center presents numerous performances throughout the year such as the Bluemont Concert Series. The Center also runs children’s musical theater programs every summer, such as a full musical production and a one-week summer camp. Fundraising events like this make it possible for the organization to provide these programs.

This event will likely be advertised all over Hanover County, including Ashland where the Center is located. Local printing companies often provide marketing materials like flyers for fundraising events.

Mardi Gras at the Center is being held at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center on March 8 from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $20 each or $35 for two, while drink tickets are also available for $2.50 each. This is a 21 years old and over event, and masks are recommended. For more information about the fundraiser, call 804-798-2728.
