The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, located in Villanova near Bala Cynwyd, will hold its annual Fine Art Show and Sale until Friday, February 7.

The artwork will be on display daily from noon until 4:00 pm at the Academy Mansion, 560 Sproul road. Almost 100 local artists have work in the show, in a wide variety of mediums, from sculptures and ceramics to oil paints and watercolors. Molly Schneider is serving as the chair of this year’s show.

The Academy can use brochure printers to highlight the artists and works appearing in this year’s show. Susan O’Reilly, an artist with more than 20 years of experience, is the featured artist this year. O’Reilly earned a BA from St. Joseph’s University in fine arts and English literature. She also studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

O’Reilly uses oil paints to create emotionally inspired paintings of common, everyday images. She’s shown her art in number of exhibitions in Philadelphia and New York. She’ll also be a featured artist in the annual show at the Pennsylvania State Museum.

The Fine Art Show will feature a number of newcomers this year, as well. First-timers include Suan Bevilacqua, Diane Cannon, Ryan Greenback and Kassem Amoudi.

Although tickets to the opening reception on January 31 were $45, admission to the 41st annual art show is free and the show is open to the public.
