Lovers of barbequed food may wish to make their plans now to attend a Washington area showcase of Southern-style cookery, as well as local beers and spirits.

Honeysuckle’s, which is a local food service establishment, will be hosting a celebration of favorites from the South, such as pickle-brined fried chicken and barbequed pork roast. Guests will be also able to choose from treats like deviled eggs, heirloom tomato salad with cucumbers and dill, Southern pork salad, a casserole featuring summer squash, and an assortment of other dishes.

The eatery will also be offering spirit and beer pairings from District Distilling and Port City Brewing to go along with the meal. According to the planners of the function, their goal will be to offer a relaxed and friendly environment where everyone who arrives will have a good time. The ticket price has been set at $45 each, plus tax. Those who attend are asked to be generous with their tips to their servers, as this will not be included in the cost of the tickets. An area printer will be able to design and then produce promotional drinkware for an event like this.

The celebration where southern barbeque will be front and center has been planned for June 5 at Honeysuckle’s. More information and a chance to purchase tickets can be found by visiting he establishment’s Facebook page.
