Walk MS 2013 coming to Washington District of Columbia

January 22, 2013 by

The chance to support fundraising efforts to battle MS will come to Washington this April.

The event is presented by Booz Allen Hamilton, a well-known strategy and technology consulting business. Other sponsors include Geico, Wegmans, Novartis, and EMD Sorono. Additional corporate sponsorships are available through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, National Capital Chapter. Partnering in this event provides brand awareness for the sponsor, teambuilding opportunities, and the venue to provide financial support for a worthy cause. Various sponsorship packages are available.

Participating in the MS Walk provides funds to support programs and research related to multiple sclerosis. With over 7,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the Washington D.C. area, events of this nature are extremely valuable to assist in maintaining a better quality of life.

Multiple sclerosis is a neurological disorder that can progress to interfering with a person’s ability to move. The National MS Society strives to put an end to this debilitating disease through the MS Walks that are hosted across the country throughout the year.

Banner printing is a method used by event organizers to provide clear directional communication for the participants. Banners are hung throughout the walking route to ensure smooth flow of foot traffic throughout the event.

Registration for the Washington District of Columbia Walk MS 2013 event is available on the event website or through the National MS Society.

The Walk MS 2013 has been scheduled for April 20 in Washington District of Columbia. The walk will begin at 3rd and Maryland Ave, with the distance being approximately 5K. Registration check-in starts at 7:00 am and the walk will begin at 9:00 am.
