Destination Hotels & Resorts recently announced that the Lansdowne Resort, a 296-room resort situated on the bluffs of the Potomac River in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia areas, will be managed by them starting within the next few months. The company will be using printing services to print brochures describing the features of this hotel and flyers and posters regarding their organization and what this new management will mean for the hotel. Destination has a unique collection of hotels and resorts in the eastern region that include such well-known hotels as the Madison in Washington, D.C., Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, VT, and The Carolina Inn and Rizzo Conference Center in Tarrytown, NY.
The Lansdowne Resort, an AAA Four Diamond Resort, is an ideal hotel for retreats of either a corporate or leisure nature due to its secluded location in Northern Virginia’s Loudoun County. The hotel offers six places for eating and drinking, five pools and a waterslide in an aquatic complex, a Spa Minerale with 13 treatment rooms in a 12,000 square foot complex, three tennis courts, and a massive golf club with 45 holes of golf. With a conference center that is 50,000 square feet in size, the Lansdowne Resort is one of Destination’s Seven International Association of Conference Center certified properties.
Ken Widmaier, the Destination Hotels & Resorts’ vice president and managing director, has said that the company is happy to welcome The Lansdowne Resort into its portfolio of hotels based on the east coast.
