On Thursday, July 19, the national airline carrier of the State of Qatar, Qatar Airlines, celebrated its fifth anniversary of making flights available between the country and the capital of the United States. The airline is no doubt using flyer printing and poster printing to make this announcement in an effort to make people aware of its services and to attract more customers to fly between the United States and Qatar.
A week ago, at the annual Skytrax awards, Qatar Airlines was named the World’s Best Airline and a month ago, the airline celebrated five years of flying between Qatar and New York City; its first travel destination in the United States.
The service to Washington, D.C. is offered on a daily basis with a non-stop flight from the company’s hub in Qatar. The flight takes approximately 12 hours and is operated on a Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, which seat 293 people in Economy in a 3-3-3 cabin configuration, along with 42 people in Business Class in a 2-2-2 cabin configuration. Business class customers are able to recline their seats into a horizontal bed that is fully flat, while Economy customers are afforded a 10.6-inch television monitor at each individual seat.
In addition to New York and Washington, D.C., Qatar Airlines offers daily flights from Houston, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires, as well as flights three times a week from Montreal. All these flights land in Doha, Qatar’s capital, with the ability to connect to other important leisure and business destinations in Africa, Asia, India, Australia, and the Middle East.
