DC prepares for Independence Day

Washington DC will host the Independence Day Parade on July 4, complete with magical floats, marching bands, military presentations, and VIPs. In honor of the patriotic holiday, the event in the nation’s capital attracts a large audience.

A sea of red, white, and blue flags will no doubt be seen at the famous event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early in order to find the best spot for watching the parade. The summer tends to be hot and humid in this area, so appropriate clothing is recommended due to the lack of shady spots. Patriotic clothing is always popular, showing the spirit of America.

Vendors will be available offering food, beverages, and arts and crafts. Most vendors work with a local print company in ordering banner printing for their booths. Banners are typically placed inside the vendor’s booth or across the front of it to advise passersby of the company name and product. The logo of the business can be included with the text on the banners.

The Capitol Fourth Concert will begin at 8:00 pm on the entity’s grounds, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. The parade will begin at 11:45 am on Constitution Avenue through 7th and 17th Streets. Access to the National Mall opens at 10:00 am. Visitors will enter via security managed checkpoint entrance.
