Time to get back in the networking game

Summer is almost over and it is time for business professionals to get back into attending regular networking events. With this in mind, the next LEADS luncheon to be hosted by The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce will take place on August 24 at Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Tickets are $10 for chamber members and $25 for non-members. All chamber members will receive a PDF of all those who attended the meeting.
The Chamber holds a LEADS luncheon each month for local business leaders and they take place in the form ofspeed networking events. Speed networking is similar to speed dating, in which people have two or three minutes to talk to each other before being asked to move on to the next person. The most important tool at all networking events is the business card. Those who plan to attend this Warwick event will probably be arranging for business card printing in advance so they have enough to hand out to everyone they meet.
With first impressions being vital, they will also want to make sure their cards are up-to-date and in prime condition for the upcoming networking season. Those who plan to attend the event will also be practicing their 60-second elevator pitch to deliver to each person they meet. An elevator pitch is a short description of what a company represents and how it can help other businesspeople. This will be a fast-paced event and a great way to start off the new networking season.
