The holiday season is closing in and people are starting to think of what to buy for their loved ones, always on the lookout for unique items. There are a couple of events taking place in Warwick in late November that will display the latest in handmade arts and crafts. No doubt local printing companies have been asked to provide such items as flyers and posters to advertise the upcoming shows.

The 4th annual Affordable Art Show and Sale will take place at the Warwick Museum of Art from November 20 to December 22 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm each day. In past years, it has exhibited the work of over 50 local area artisans. The types of items available for sale usually include prints, photographs, jewelry, greeting cards, ornaments, and toys. Admission is free.

A similar event will be the 22nd annual Juried Craft Festival, which will take place at the Community College of Rhode Island Knight Campus on November 23 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and on November 24 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. The festival will feature the arts and crafts of 75 local artisans. Admission is $1 with the donation of a canned food item to the Rhode Island Food Bank. All proceeds will go towards local charities.

Both of these sales should allow shoppers to find the perfect gift for a friend or family member – a gift that will be a one-of-a-kind item that is sure to thrill the receiver.
