Gaspee Days Continues in Warwick

The Gaspee Days Arts and Crafts Festival will take place on the Narragansett Parkway in Pawtuxet Village from May 26-28 from 10 am-5 pm each day. There are expected to be between 100 and 150 exhibitors and 50,000 people are expected to visit during the three day festival.
The festival, in addition to the exhibitors will have a food court featuring several food and drink vendors, amusement rides and games and live music daily from 1-4 pm. There will also be an age 21 and over Gaspee Block Party on May 27-28 from 6-10 pm; there will be a DJ and much dancing.
Exhibitors pay $175 for a booth for three days plus a $25 per day license fee. In order to be chosen by the Gaspee Days Committee and the City of Warwick exhibitors must be selling originally produced arts and crafts and fine arts; there will also be a few novelty vendors. The Arts and Crafts Festival advertises state-wide and in local Warwick media and newspapers. Local printing companies no doubt will be helping the organizers to provide flyer and poster printing services to help get the word out in the neighborhood. Renting a booth at the festival will help local artists and crafters make themselves known to the community and can help them to take their careers to the next step. It will also provide many of them with their first sales and can inspire them to continue in an artistic career. $175 is a very small price to pay for such marketing.
