Epilepsy addressed at the Snow Angel Ball

January 24, 2013 by

This weekend’s ‘Snow Angel Ball’ is the annual fundraising event for the Matthew Siravo Memorial Foundation’s Epilepsy Resource Center for Children and Families. The fund is in memory of Matty Siravo, who died at the age of five after numerous seizures throughout his short life.

The Foundation raises funds to promote epilepsy awareness among the general public, provides educational programs for those suffering from the disorder, and awards annual scholarships to children with epilepsy. The ballwill feature a sit-down dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a photo booth. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Malloi Band. It will be a great opportunity for those who want to help this worthwhile organization to meet those who are also interested in the cause of epilepsy and to raise much-needed funds for epilepsy research. Currently, over 200,000 new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed every year.

Local businesses can also help the cause by either donating items to the silent auction or sponsoring the event. Sponsorships are available from $1,750 to $5,000, and all sponsoring will be recognized at the event and in the program booklet. No doubt organizers of the event have been working with Warwick brochure printers to design and print the booklet that will be given to everyone who attends.

The 10th annual Snow Angel Ball will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel this Saturday, January 26, from 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $100 each and dress is black tie.
