Aquatic themed dining and dancing coming up
September 21, 2012 by Sarah
The ‘Under the Sea: Celebrating Kent County’s Bounty of Care’ gala will take place at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet tomorrow, September 22. Proceeds will go to support the Kent Hospital Wound Recovery and Hyperbaric Medical Center.
The event will feature a silent auction, cocktails, dinner, and dancing. There will also be a separate raffle to benefit Kent Hospital and the Oswaldo R. Velis MD Fund for Cardiac Care and music will be provided by the World Premiere Band.
This will be an excellent opportunity for those who are dedicated to helping improve the overall health and welfare of society to meet with those who feel the same way and to forge friendships. It could also be a good business networking opportunity, offering a chance to meet those who can both help a business and benefit from an association with another.
Those who do plan to do some casual networking at the event will most likely arrange for business card printing services from Warwick area printing companies in advance. A few business cards – the suggested number is 50 – can be easily tucked into a jacket pocket or in a clutch purse. There will be no hard selling but there will definitely be time to discuss business over cocktails and dinner. Opportunities are also available for local businesses to advertise in the event’s program booklet.
Tomorrow’s gala will be held from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Tickets are $200 per person, with black tie being optional. For more information, contact the Kent Hospital Foundation at 401-737-7000 x35252.
