Library fundraiser takes a trip to Wonderland

March 19, 2014 by

The Providence Public Library’s annual fundraising gala this April will have the theme of “Wonderland – Through the Looking Glass.” This event, for those over 21, is set to allow those who attend to enter into the world of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland; they are even encouraged to dress up in costumes fitting with the novel.

There will be catered food, musical entertainment by Miss Wensday and the Cotillions, and appearances by various well-known characters from the book. Guests can attend for the entire evening or just come by for dessert and dancing.

In addition to being a fundraising event, the gala will also give guests a look at the new renovations that recently took place in the library. They can also pose for pictures in the photo booth.

Sponsorships are available from $500 to $10,000, with sponsors being recognized at the event.

Funds raised will go support the various programs of the Providence Public Library. Local banner printing companies often help to provide products to recognize sponsors at events like this.

The gala is taking place at the Providence Public Library on April 11 from 7:00 PM to midnight. Tickets are $125 each or $50 for those who just come later for dancing and dessert. To find out more about this unique event, call 401-455-8000.
