‘Flames of Hope: a Celebration of Life’ is taking place in Providence for three days. Proceeds from the October event will go to support the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Several events will be occurring over the three days, including an opening reception futuring the Edwards Twins, the Illuminations of Life torch ceremony ending with the lighting of WaterFire Providence, a 10k or 5k run/walk, a kids’ fun run’ and Pink Pump Palooza, in which participants run in high heeled pumps.
There will also be an education and wellness pavilion, martial arts demonstrations, family friendly activities, and musical entertainment from a Jimmy Buffet tribute list and Beatlemania. The ARS Pink Party is the centerpiece of one day and will feature food, desserts, drinks, and music from the Downtown Band. The celebrations will come to an end with an awards ceremony and a block party.
Organizers of the Flames of Hope are likely working with Providence printing companies to get ready for the events. This will probably include investing in services like flyer printing for advertising and banner printing to mark off the starting and finishing lines of the run, and to help direct participants on their way.
The Flames of Hope celebration will take place in Celebration Village in downtown Providence from October 11 to 13. Admission is free to most events, but the ARS Pink Party on October 12 will cost $35 to attend. More information can be found by calling 401-861-4376.
