Learn how to manage your time better

The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is presenting the “Time Management Business Getting Results Seminar” on June 7 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. Tickets are $45 for Chamber members and $65 for non-members.

The seminar will be led by James Crisafulli; a small business advisor. Those who attend will learn how to improve their time management skills to ensure the success and longevity of their business. The key, as the seminar will stress, is successfully balancing your work and home life. Visitors will also learn about the tools they need to make sure they prioritize their work, discover how to delegate and get advice on how to be more flexible in order to recognize new opportunities. If these tools are used properly, it will decrease the stress levels which many small business owners experience.

This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Chamber members and future members from the area, including nearby Pawtucket. Local brochure printers can provide them with an informative brochure that they can pass on to their business peers. Of course, they will also want to bring a business card to exchange with others to grow their referral network. There are several tips to ensure a positive business card exchange; making sure the cards are in pristine condition (that means no folded corners or smudged lettering), letting the other person know what the business can do for them, and following up as soon as possible. When a networking meeting is in the morning, it is recommended that the follow-up occurs that afternoon.
