Celebration of the arts set for third year in Middletown

August 16, 2013 by

The 3rd annual middletown Celebration of the Arts is taking place this August.

This popular festival is produced by the Middletown Committee for the Arts and features a wide variety of visual and performing arts events. Local artists and performers will get the opportunity to showcase their talents and works of art in front of their friends, family, and neighbors.

There will also be plenty of children’s activities taking place during the day, such as face painting, pony rides, and a bouncy house. There will be artist demonstrations, a raffle, a silent auction, food for purchase, live dance and music performances, and a large number of artisan booths. Guests are advised to bring a blanket or a chair so they can enjoy the many performances.

Artisan booths will feature homemade and original works of art for purchase. Items offered will probably include handmade jewelry, ceramics, home decor, clothing, paintings, and prints.

Many of the artists taking part in the celebration will no doubt be investing in services from Middletown printing companies. This could include postcard printing services, since a lot of artists use postcards as larger format business cards, perhaps featuring an example of their work on the front of the card and their contact information on the back.

The Middletown Celebration of the Arts will take place on tomorrow, August 17, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm in Paradise Park. Admission is free, and more information is available by calling 401-845-9660.
