Upcoming expo can make contacts count

The ’We Mean Business Expo’ is coming up next week at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. This is a free event but reservations must be made in advance.

The expo is presented by the North Central Chamber of Commerce, the Secretary of State’s Business Information Center, and Every Company Count. It will be the chance for business owners to make connections with over 100 non-profit business organizations and local, state and federal government agencies. The day will feature a VIP luncheon, discussions, information booths, workshops and networking opportunities. Topics for discussion will include ‘Energy efficiency: business programs and strategies’, ‘State fire code from A to Z’, and ‘From employee to entrepreneur’.

Business leaders will learn how they can grow their businesses by using all of the resources that are available to them, many for no charge or for very little investment. They will also meet their business peers and will undoubtedly meet someone who can add value to their company, as professionals will be coming from all over the area, probably including nearby Johnston, meaning that there will be a greater chance to meet new people. Those attending will probably be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance, as they will want to ensure that their information is up-to-date and that their cards are in perfect order.

Sponsorships from $500 to $3,000 are also available for the event, with recognition at the event one of the perks of getting involved. To find out more about the expo, which is scheduled for September 18 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, call 401-349-4674.
